# Hubspot alerts me about the legal basis of a contact, what do I do?

## It is possible that at the time of composing an email in Hubspot, it alerts us to a contact that does not have a legal basis provided.

When working with a CRM system, which has certain automated content, it is necessary to establish a series of legal criteria that allow us to communicate with recipients through the tool. It is a legal process to which all CRM is submitted, for a simple legal aspect, even when these automations are not used consciously.  
Many contacts already have this legal basis provided, but many do not, so it will be necessary to provide it manually.  
The message that appears automatically when Hubspot detects communications with a contact that does not have this legal basis provided is the following:

We must click on the button and provide it with a legal basis from the drop-down list that is shown:

Normally the selection will be “client”.  
Once this is done, Hubspot will allow us to send the mail.
